First Rain Of the Season

After my renewed passion for photography, I have really been making an effort to take pictures where ever I can, and first up was after one of our very first rain falls of this season. It was a sweltering hot day, and the afternoon rain fall was very welcome. Oh and did I mention it hailed, whole garden was white as snow. Before taking any photos I decided to wait a bit for the sun to come back out, and what an afternoon it turned out to be I'm glad I waited. The warm ground evaporated the water quickly causing a mist like effect :-)
I'm very blessed to live in the country side so to speak of Johannesburg, on a plot.
(All Photos are Resized but unedited, If you would like the settings of the camera that was used leave me a comment)
For this one I tried something new with the settings, and I quiet like it give it an old style look.

Next few pics I took while at the vaal and one of My peacock taking a break in the shade.
This one is my favourite
Well that's it for now, December is upon us soon so hoping to have some great posts.

A Renewed Passion

So its been almost a whole year since I have written anything on my Blog, and its not because life has been so boring. But just so busy, anyway really going try make an effort to post more.

Over the past month I have really found a renewed passion for something I use to love so much and that is photography, since I was just a little boy I use to love taking photo's and playing with my my fathers cameras. And as I grew up I really loved how you can capture something, look at the photo and be fascinated with so many things.

I've had to re learn a lot of the settings needed to take awesome photo's but its slowly coming back to me, here are a few photo's that I have just loved taking. If anybody wants the settings I used please just pop me a message. All photos are unedited (click on them for HQ version)

The first 2 photos are to show how different a photo can look depending on what you focus on, and how it brings up new colours

This one is of a sunset while at a Private lodge, it took me a few tries but eventually found the right settings and I'm pretty pleased on how it came out. Last one was just for fun :-)

Lastly its spring time in South Africa and I'm very blessed to live on a property with such an awesome garden, with Roses and Orchids all over SO I thought id share a few. The Red of our roses are so amazingly bright :-)
And the Last photo is of an Orchid we keep, It has such amazing colours.

Thanks to everyone for reading, Ill be working on my photography skills over the next, and going to be trying to get some really unique and difficult shots. Two photos that inspire me... I love the long exposure one, of the aeroplanes landing at the airport.

The IPhone 4

After having been an IPhone user for over 2 years now, decided it was time for an upgrade and what other choice would I have but to get the new IPhone 4! Which coincidently came out in South Africa, 2 years give or take a week to this date after getting my IPhone 3G
As you can see from the photos, the new iPhone 4 features a completely new design, the built quality feels better than that of the iPhone 3G, and I really like the new design.
The new screen looks amazing, a lot sharper than that of my old iPhone 3G, I would say this is the best display I have seen so far on a smartphone, it is really crisp and clear, images and text look amazing on it.
After running a few apps on the iPhone 4, it feels so much faster than my old iPhone 3G, applications and games loads a lot faster, and games seem to run a lot better on it. Multitasking has also been added which was not available on the IPhone 3G! This decreases the load time dramatically, and is one of the best new features!

So far from what I have experienced over the week I have had the phone, Apple have done a great job with the iPhone 4, the new design changes, features, improved screen and faster processor make it feel like a totally different phone to the 3G
In Conclusion!

The IPhone 4 is impressive, its a huge improvement over the IPhone 3G, in terms of design and functions Apple has managed to create another great smartphone, the overall package is great! It has it's plus points and some minus points, I absolutely love the new display it's simply stunning and makes everything look so much clearer and more detailed the the Previous IPhone 3G

The Battery life has massively improved over the IPhone 3G! If You worried that, you don't get to BBM every other person in your contacts list, IPhone have had a similar application for quiet sometime now called "What's App". Which is also avaliable on all most all the blackberry models, so you wont feel left out..

I would recommend the IPhone 4 over any other smartphone currently in the Market...
